Aura Troupe is designed to capture the lively spirit of Berlin’s nightlife, focusing specifically on how people come together to dance and celebrate. Located in urban public spaces, the project introduces portable modules that serve as venues for social interaction. The design promotes accessibility and versatility, making these structures relevant in today’s ever-changing environment.

Dynamic Interaction

At the heart of Aura Troupe is the aim to reflect the energy and movement of a dance floor in a physical space. Each module is created to be portable, allowing users to arrange them in different configurations that can support small gatherings or larger events. This flexibility is crucial, especially as communities adapt to new expectations around personal space and socializing.

Architectural Form

The modules feature a facade fabric that connects through carbon fiber strings and rests on a steel structure. This design choice creates a lightweight yet strong framework that responds to the actions of its users. The interactive nature of the architecture encourages people to engage with their surroundings, allowing the space to resonate with the rhythm of the dance and the crowd.

Public Space Integration

Aura Troupe modules are purposefully placed within various urban landscapes, including well-known locations like Mauerpark. When users engage with the modules, they become part of a larger social entity, turning public areas into hubs for cultural exchange. The addition of health-focused features, such as hand sanitizers and temperature scanners, helps ensure that these environments are safe and welcoming for everyone.

Experiential Atmosphere

Inside the Aura Troupe modules, there is a focus on creating an inviting atmosphere similar to that of a nightclub. Soft lighting and sound elements work together to enhance the experience for users. This setting allows individuals to connect, offering both personal space and opportunities for shared enjoyment. The relationship between architecture and user interaction becomes a key aspect, demonstrating how thoughtful design can enrich urban life.

Every detail in Aura Troupe serves to highlight the energy of social gatherings in city settings.
