Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

I am a freelance interior architect and master's student based in Incheon, South Korea. My current academic and professional focus is centered entirely on "School Space Innovation. "

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

I am currently dedicated to my master's thesis project. Its core objective is to explore how thoughtful interior design can gently mitigate aggressive behaviors in children's educational environments, utilizing the "power of space" to create safer and more nurturing atmospheres.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Architecture is the profound act of creating the foundation of human life. Therefore, an architect's role in society is to approach every project with a deep sense of responsibility. It is a truly wonderful profession that shapes the very backdrop of our lives.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

Competitions serve as a preliminary validation process for my academic theories. They provide a valuable platform to practically apply and test my ideas on spatial innovation before introducing them to the real world.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Participating in competitions is an incredibly valuable experience that pushes your design boundaries. My advice to anyone hesitating is simple: do not hesitate to challenge yourself and share your vision.
