The design is set in a location that aims to improve the wellbeing of its residents in a post-COVID world. The overall concept focuses on enhancing community interaction while also providing personal spaces for relaxation and creativity. By combining social and environmental factors, the design responds to current living conditions with functional and engaging spaces.

Spatial Organization

The layout of the building has been carefully planned to include both shared and private areas. Communal facilities such as the kitchen, dining room, and common living rooms encourage social engagement among residents. These spaces foster a friendly atmosphere where interactions can flourish. Additionally, a workshop and exhibition area support artistic pursuits, giving artists a place to work and display their creations.

Privacy and Community

Privacy is a key consideration in the design. Each family unit has its own entrance, allowing for personal freedom while still providing easy access to shared amenities. This thoughtful arrangement creates a balance, so residents can enjoy their own space without feeling isolated from the community around them.

Sustainability Measures

Sustainability is emphasized through the use of Cross Laminated Wood as the primary building material. This choice contributes to an appealing exterior while also promoting environmentally friendly practices. Reusing wood not only minimizes waste but also helps to reduce the ecological footprint of the design. Solar panels further enhance energy efficiency, reflecting a commitment to sustainable living.

Connection to the Environment

The site layout is designed to maximize natural light and scenic views, which can significantly enhance the quality of life for residents. The building is oriented to face a nearby lake, allowing for beautiful vistas and ample daylight throughout the day. An open courtyard acts as a central gathering point, encouraging visual and functional connections between different areas while promoting a sense of community.

The design balances personal and communal spaces well, addressing the modern needs of residents while fostering a connection to the surrounding environment.
