Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

I'm a second-year M.Arch candidate, which has allowed me to delve deeply into both the theoretical and practical aspects of the field. My academic journey has been marked by rigorous coursework, hands-on design projects, and collaboration with peers and mentors who are as passionate about architecture as I am.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

While I haven't yet seen my designs constructed, my academic work spans from small-scale installations to larger public complexes. I'm especially passionate about materials research, aiming to innovate in building systems. This not only promotes sustainability but also reimagines our interaction with architectural spaces.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

To me, architecture is the intersection of art, science, and humanity. It's more than just creating buildings; it's about crafting spaces that resonate with human emotions, cater to our needs, and stand as a testament to our aspirations. In society, an architect plays a pivotal role as a visionary and problem-solver. We have the responsibility to design spaces that are sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, all while considering the socio-cultural fabric of the community. An architect, in essence, shapes the physical narrative of society, influencing how people interact, live, work, and dream.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

I participate in architecture competitions because they present diverse challenges, prompting me to seek varied solutions. It's an invigorating exercise that allows me to try, dream, and actualize my visions, continually refining my approach and expanding my design horizons.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Dream bigger and freely. Buildner competitions offer a unique platform where you're not bound by the usual constraints of real-world projects. It's an opportunity to let your imagination soar, to test your boundaries, and to learn.
