David Costantino Cirocchi

Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

I was first graduated in Architecture at the University of Florence and then continued my studies with the master MArch at the Universidad Europea in Valencia. I currently work at Fran Silvestre Arquitectos in Valencia.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

I worked from small scale to big scale in University as well as professionally.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

For me architecture is like a big cloud in where past, present and future project ideas are contained. Architects are constantly searching through this big cloud for the project that best solves the purpose of the work.

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

I find is a way to keep researching new ways of architecture while challenging myself and seeing what the world has to offer.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

I would say is always beneficial, it keeps you active, thinking and exploring new ways of understanding and developing architecture while challenging yourself.
