What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in our society?

Architecture, for us, is the art of creating spaces that foster overall well being, including the feel good factor such as happiness. For us, a good architect should be able to create a harmonious design that respects and keeps high regard of natural environments, historical values, local customs and traditions, and site surroundings.

An architect, we believe, can play a pivotal role in the development of a society by helping create inspirational spaces that fosters:

a) Overall well being including health and happiness

b) Harmonious relationships

c) Local values and customs

Why do you participate in architecture vision competitions?

Architecture design competitions are a wonderful way of communicating your ideas and visions to a larger audience. For a small team from a small developing country like ours, it is very difficult to reach out to a larger audience by any other means.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture vision competitions?

Architecture vision competitions can be a wonderful platform to exhibit one’s skills to a global audience. In such a globalized age we need not to be confined to a particular region; an architect should be a universal figure providing solutions related to any regions across the globe.
