Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.

We met during our architecture studies and spent a lot of time together there. We now work at different architecture firms, but we do competitions for fun to break out of our daily routines and work on projects together.

Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?

We already took part in a competition together where we designed a treehouse and received an honorable mention for it. In our day-to-day work at our offices, we mainly work on larger projects like industrial buildings, office complexes, and sports centers. That’s why it’s nice to use competitions as a creative outlet from time to time.

What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?

Our approach to architecture is that it should interact with its surroundings, be sustainable, and provide real value to people.”

Why do you participate in architecture competitions?

We take part in competitions to tackle new challenges together and develop fresh ideas. It’s a chance to create something that hasn’t been done before and to experiment with innovative techniques that often don’t receive enough attention in our everyday professional work.

What advice would you give to individuals who struggle to decide whether it would be beneficial for them to participate in architecture competitions?

Just try it :)
