The Sansusi Food Court is a contemporary structure designed to improve the experience of festival attendees. It is situated in an outdoor festival environment and focuses on creating spaces for socializing and dining. The main concept emphasizes modularity, which allows for different arrangements that cater to various needs and preferences. This design encourages participation and interaction among visitors while contributing to the lively atmosphere of the event.

Modularity and Flexibility

The food court features a modular layout, allowing for multiple configurations that accommodate different vendor offerings and attendee requirements. This flexibility is a key element, enabling easy assembly and customization. It supports potential expansion to adapt to changing needs. The design invites people of various skill levels to take part in the setup process, fostering a sense of community and belonging within the space.

Architectural Atmosphere

Within the food court, the atmosphere is inviting and warm, perfectly aligning with the festive setting. The design creates spaces that encourage comfort and social interaction, enhancing the overall experience for visitors. The visual elements are carefully considered to achieve an appealing appearance while ensuring that the space functions effectively for its intended purpose.

Material Composition

The construction relies on wooden beams, plywood sheets, and polycarbonate sheets, which provide essential support and protection. Wooden beams serve as the primary structure, while plywood sheets offer flexible options for different uses throughout the food court. Polycarbonate sheets are used to bring in natural light while sheltering occupants from the elements, contributing to a pleasant environment regardless of the weather.

Sustainability Focus

Attention to sustainability is evident in material selection and efforts to minimize waste during construction. This environmentally conscious emphasis aligns with modern architectural practices that value responsibility and efficiency. The focus on sustainable solutions enhances both functionality and the overall visitor experience, making it a relevant model for future similar projects.

Light pours in through the polycarbonate panels, creating a lively ambiance that connects the interior with the vibrant energy of the festival outside.
