Circular Community Retreat Featuring Glass Facades and Natural Wood Cladding

Project in-detail

Circling around communal green spaces and constructed with extensive glass facades and natural wood cladding, the design fosters a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living environments aimed at enhancing resident comfort.
5 key facts about this project
01
Circular design promotes natural ventilation and light distribution throughout the spaces.
02
Extensive use of glass facades enhances visual connectivity with surrounding landscapes.
03
Natural wood cladding reduces environmental impact while adding aesthetic warmth.
04
Integrated communal courtyards foster social interaction among residents.
05
Charred wooden shingles provide both durability and a unique architectural texture.
The architectural project "LIVE, LEAVE" is a residential complex designed with a focus on integrating living spaces with their natural surroundings. This project reflects an approach that prioritizes community interaction, functionality, and a strong connection to nature. The design aims to create comfortable, accessible living environments that cater to the diverse needs of residents while promoting sustainability.

The structure features a circular configuration that fosters a sense of community. This architectural form minimizes the harshness of traditional linear designs, encouraging fluid movement between spaces. The site is strategically located to enhance accessibility to nearby green areas, making it an ideal fusion of urban living and natural settings.

Unique Design Approaches
One of the defining characteristics of the project is its careful selection of materials. The use of concrete for structural elements ensures durability, while extensive glass facades facilitate natural light and views of the landscape. Wood is employed as cladding, adding warmth and an organic touch to the overall aesthetic. Stone paving is utilized for external pathways, promoting cohesion with surrounding gardens and communal spaces. Metal screens provide both shading and privacy, serving as key visual components that enhance architectural interest.

The layout is methodically planned to encourage interaction among residents. Public areas, such as lounges and communal courtyards, are integrated with private living quarters, allowing for both social engagement and personal retreat. Each level of the building is designed with specific functions in mind: the ground floor focuses on shared amenities, while upper levels are primarily reserved for private residential units.

Innovative space planning is evident through the strategic orientation of rooms that maximizes light exposure and temperature regulation. This not only supports energy efficiency but also optimizes the overall living experience.

Architectural Sections and Plans
Analyzing the architectural sections reveals the thoughtful layering of spaces that facilitate movement and accessibility throughout the building. These elements, including the flow of light and air, contribute significantly to the spatial quality of the residential experience. Architectural plans illustrate the effective organization of private and public zones, demonstrating a commitment to user-friendly design that adapts to contemporary living demands.

For further insights into the architectural plans, sections, and details of the "LIVE, LEAVE" project, readers are encouraged to explore the project presentation. This will provide a comprehensive view of the innovative architectural ideas and design strategies employed in creating a sustainable, community-focused living environment.
