Please tell us about your company (when it was founded, where it is based, how many employees, etc) Alternatively, if you do not have a company, please give us some insights on your own professional/academia background.
Our company specializes in modular construction using a design-and-build model. Based in Gliwice, a city in Poland’s industrial Upper Silesia region, we’ve spent nearly a decade delivering high-quality spaces in remarkably short timeframes. Our engineers and architects constantly refine our technology, and from the start, we’ve grown steadily while remaining a tight-knit team of around a dozen people.
Brief information about the projects that you/your company have been involved with. For instance, what scale have you focused on/preferred, any significant projects where the company/ individuals have been Involved?
The vast majority of our projects involve the design and construction of office, residential, and commercial buildings. We specialize in structures with a volume of 400–600 cubic meters, which is the scale we are most comfortable working within.
What does architecture mean to you and what is the role of an architect in your society?
To us, architecture primarily means creating physical spaces that effectively serve their users for specific purposes. But it’s also a living fabric shaped by local traditions, the context of a place, and the sensibilities of both creators and users. In our local community, the architect is someone who must understand the needs of users and translate them into project documentation, all while navigating complex building codes and administrative regulations.
Why do you participate in architecture competitions?
We believe that participating in architectural competitions is a valuable opportunity to demonstrate what architecture can—and should—be. It allows us to share our ideas, promote our vision, and engage in a prestigious form of creative rivalry.
