Atmo-Sphere is a meditation cabin designed to blend into its natural setting. The wooden sphere serves as a place for reflection and tranquility, inviting visitors to engage with the surrounding wilderness. By becoming a lantern at night, the cabin enhances the experience of the forest, creating a peaceful environment for meditation.

Design Concept

The cabin's interior is crafted to provide both protection and open views of the woods. Large curtain walls allow light to enter from different angles, resulting in varied experiences throughout the day. This shifting light transforms the space, promoting a deeper sense of meditation and connection with nature.

Sustainability and Materials

Attention to sustainability is evident in the choice of materials used in construction. All materials are selected for their recyclability, with local wood playing a significant role in the design. Solar panels supply electricity for the cabin, ensuring that it can be used comfortably during the night while minimizing its carbon footprint.

User Engagement and Assembly

The design encourages participation by allowing for an easy assembly process. Components can either be prefabricated or handmade by local artisans, making the project accessible to different users. This hands-on approach fosters a sense of ownership and connection to the environment, emphasizing the value of local craftsmanship.

The geometry of Atmo-Sphere highlights the bond between individuals and nature. The space offers shifting viewpoints that enhance mindfulness and reflection. A noteworthy feature of the cabin is its adaptability to varying light conditions, creating an atmosphere that inspires calm and introspection at any time of day.
