Nests Bearing Nature is a project centered in a mountainous area, designed to support wellness activities like yoga and meditation. It focuses on combining indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging a connection to the natural surroundings. The design approach prioritizes a soft transition between the structures and their landscapes, ensuring that users feel engaged with nature while they pursue their practices.

Cabin Designs

Two cabin types feature prominently in the layout: the Y-type and the M-type, each serving a specific purpose. The Y-type cabin is primarily for yoga, featuring a central area that extends outward into tube-like structures. This arrangement reflects the breathing process essential to yoga. The design allows for varying spatial experiences needed for different practices. Each user can find a suitable place to engage with the discipline.

Meditation Spaces

The M-type cabin is crafted for meditation, offering calm environments that encourage relaxation. Like the Y-type, this cabin has irregularly shaped areas that allow individuals to choose their preferred meditation spots. This layout helps foster a personal connection to the practice, letting users find spaces that resonate best with their needs.

Materiality and Structure

Materials chosen for the project serve both functional and aesthetic roles. The structure includes a strong steel frame that supports the cabins and wooden louvers that improve ventilation. The wood used for the structure and finishes brings warmth to the interiors, creating inviting spaces that align with the natural environment. Floor beams provide essential support while contributing to the overall visual appeal of the cabins.

Spatial Organization

The design incorporates various key areas for specific activities, including outdoor and indoor meditation zones, treatment spaces, guest accommodations, and dedicated rooms for yoga. This careful organization promotes movement and interaction among users, ensuring that each area fulfills its purpose effectively.

Large windows in each cabin frame the beautiful mountain views, letting natural light flood the interior. This feature enriches the experience, allowing guests to connect visually and emotionally with the surrounding landscape.
