The Skyscraper of the Future: The Knot Mexico is an architectural initiative situated in an urban area that aims to improve connectivity and promote sustainable living. It addresses the barriers that separate communities, allowing work and recreation to coexist more easily. By encouraging bicycle use for transportation, the design focuses on health benefits and reducing pollution.

Design Concept

The project embraces a multi-functional approach by combining residential, commercial, and recreational spaces. It integrates various community-oriented elements, including gardens, gyms, playgrounds, libraries, and open forums. These features are intended to fulfill a variety of needs within the community. The design promotes interaction and inclusivity, ultimately enhancing urban living.

Key Locations

Important locations within the area include San Lazaro's Subway Station, the West Bus Terminal, the Lecumberri Garden, and the Luis Preciado Market. These spots are critical for enabling easy movement throughout the city. By linking these key locations, the design facilitates access and encourages people to engage with different parts of the community.

Structural Components

The building features several structural elements like beam structures, concrete, and reinforcement materials. These choices are made with durability in mind. The materials help to create spaces that serve multiple purposes. Additionally, the design includes a vertical garden and an elevated park, focusing on blending natural aspects into the urban setting.

Designed Elements

Various designed elements form a cohesive urban space. The emphasis on community helps foster meaningful interactions among residents. Spaces are crafted to evoke positive memories for children while attending to the practical needs of people. The outcome is an environment that nurtures connections within the community and supports everyday living.
