The Cultural Poetry Hall is an architectural project designed to serve as a gathering space for arts, culture, and community engagement. It is strategically located in an urban area that connects various cultural institutions, such as libraries and universities, enhancing its role as a hub for public interaction. The design is influenced by the concept of an iceberg, representing the visible and hidden elements of cultural expression. This thematic approach allows the structure to encapsulate a range of functions while engaging users in a narrative journey through its spaces.

The hall features distinct architectural elements that facilitate diverse activities. Key components include a café that serves as a social meeting point, a conference room designed for flexibility in various formats, and a multifunctional hall that hosts performances and workshops. The efficient layout promotes a seamless flow between these spaces, enhancing user experience and increasing the potential for community engagement.

The materiality of the project reflects a commitment to contemporary practices while respecting traditional craftsmanship. Translucent concrete and traditional wood from Colombia are principal materials, providing a tactile dimension to the spaces. This combination allows natural light to permeate the interiors, fostering an inviting atmosphere conducive to various cultural events.

The design’s unique approach lies in its dynamic form, characterized by twisting geometries and fragmented volumes that challenge conventional architectural layouts. This strategy not only promotes movement within the building but also invites exploration from visitors. The integration of local materials with modern technologies exemplifies a thoughtful blend of historical context and current design methodologies.

The Cultural Poetry Hall’s design effectively integrates with the urban environment, taking into account surrounding amenities and ensuring accessibility for diverse user groups. This interconnectedness enhances the hall's relevance and bolsters its community function, making it a vital addition to the local landscape.
