Timber-Framed Walls and Sustainable Solar Solutions for Wine Tasting Experience

Project in-detail

Reflective solar panels and pink framing walls create a harmonious setting for a wine tasting experience surrounded by picturesque vineyards.
5 key facts about this project
01
Framing walls painted in pink enhance the visual connection to the vineyards.
02
Sustainable solar panels are integrated into the roof design for energy efficiency.
03
A uniquely curved central table promotes interaction during wine tasting.
04
Warm timber flooring adds a tactile quality and sense of comfort indoors.
05
Overhangs manage seasonal solar gain while accommodating natural light.

The Monte d'Oiro project is located in a scenic area where vineyards stretch across the hills, providing a rich backdrop for wine tasting. The design aims to create a welcoming space that connects visitors with the environment. By blending architecture with nature, the building enhances the experience of tasting wine while showcasing the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Framing Walls

The pink framing walls rise from the ground, establishing both boundaries and views. They guide guests toward the wine tasting area while framing the picturesque vineyards beyond. This careful design highlights the beauty of the vineyards, making them central to the visitor experience. The walls create a visual connection, inviting people to appreciate not just the wine, but also the land it comes from.

Wine Tasting Room

Inside, the wine tasting room features warm timber flooring, which pairs well with the white walls that have touches of pink and blue. These materials create a cozy environment, making visitors feel at home. The curved table in the center of the room becomes a gathering place where guests can enjoy wine together. This setup encourages conversation and a shared experience, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the tasting.

Multi-Pitched Roof and Outdoor Space

The roof of the building has multiple pitches, which help manage light and air within the space. This design choice adds visual interest while ensuring comfort for visitors throughout different seasons. The outdoor spaces include seating areas that blend smoothly with the landscape, allowing guests to move easily between the inside and outside. These areas are designed for both social interaction and quiet moments, letting visitors relax as they take in their surroundings.

Sustainability Features

An important aspect of the project is its focus on sustainability. Solar panels are placed on the roof to harness energy from the sun. This not only supports renewable energy use but also adds to the overall aesthetic of the building. The panels reflect light, making them a subtle part of the design. Overhangs further enhance energy efficiency by allowing winter sunlight in while blocking the heat during the summer months.

The careful planning and design of Monte d'Oiro create an engaging experience for visitors, allowing them to appreciate both the wine and the stunning landscape that surrounds them.
