The Wine Cabin is located within a scenic vineyard, designed as a space for wine tasting and social gatherings. It focuses on bringing people together while highlighting the natural beauty of the surroundings. The design balances two main ideas: maximizing views of the landscape and creating areas for communal interaction, enhancing the enjoyment of the wine experience.

Design Concept and Layout

The layout prominently features two key elements: the "View" and the "Unique Table." These components are thoughtfully organized to foster a warm atmosphere for guests. A small terrace extends from the building, allowing visitors to connect with the vineyard before or after their tasting. This outdoor space blurs the line between inside and outside, helping guests appreciate the lush setting.

Inside, a large table accommodates 30 guests, which supports a sense of community. This arrangement ensures comfort and optimal sightlines for everyone, creating an inclusive feel. Essential items like wine storage and display areas are positioned discreetly on one side. This organization helps maintain focus on the wine and the views.

Environmental Integration

The orientation of the Wine Cabin is carefully planned to take advantage of natural sunlight. The building's layout reduces energy needs by enhancing comfort throughout the year. Shaping the structure according to solar angles provides shade in the summer while allowing sunlight in during cooler months.

Large windows are integrated into the design to maximize natural light while allowing fresh air to flow through. This choice promotes a pleasant indoor environment, making it welcoming for visitors. The inclusion of thermowood in the facade offers durability and complements the natural aesthetic of the vineyard.

Materiality and Aesthetic

The visual appeal of the Wine Cabin emerges from its sloped roof and varied facade, which interact with natural light in different ways throughout the day. The use of thermowood creates a warm texture that fits well with the landscape.

Windows throughout the timber-lined exterior provide plenty of views, ensuring guests feel connected to the vineyard. The design thoughtfully engages with both materials and context, allowing the Wine Cabin to blend into its surroundings while encouraging a sense of space and openness.

A notable aspect of the design is the way light changes the appearance of the cabin throughout the day. The shifting shadows and highlights create a rich visual experience, encouraging visitors to appreciate the building in its natural environment.
