Terracotta Tones Framing Vineyards in a Community-Focused Retreat

Project in-detail

Set against the backdrop of Monte D'Oiro's vineyards, terracotta tones and natural framing blend to create a community-focused retreat that enhances the experience of wine culture and relaxation.
5 key facts about this project
01
Terracotta tones enhance the building's connection to the surrounding landscape.
02
The design reflects the orientation of nearby grapevines, establishing a visual link.
03
A central green square encourages community gathering and interaction.
04
Internal pathways are guided by main wall lines for intuitive navigation.
05
Natural framing elements provide panoramic views of the vineyard scenery.

The design in Monte D'Oiro presents an engaging relationship with the landscape, highlighting the region's long-standing wine tradition. Located among wide grape fields, the project is intended to connect visitors with both nature and local culture. The design focuses on integrating architecture with its environment and providing inviting spaces for relaxation and enjoyment.

Site Integration

The building aligns thoughtfully with the natural contours of the landscape, reflecting the paths of the nearby grapevines. This connection creates a visual link between the structure and the agricultural surroundings, helping the architecture fit into the broader area. By maximizing views and access to the landscape, the design encourages a direct interaction between guests and the natural setting.

Open Architectural Concept

The layout is characterized by an open design that fosters movement and interaction. A green square at the center functions as a meeting place between the reception area and the apartment units, promoting a sense of community among guests. This shared space not only supports easy access but also enhances a peaceful atmosphere throughout the complex.

Interior Pathways

Inside the building, clearly defined pathways assist guests in navigating between key amenities, such as the restaurant and spa. The design uses wall lines to guide movement, making it simpler for visitors to explore the space. This attention to how people move reflects the goal of creating a welcoming ambiance that invites guests to relax and discover.

Color Palette

The selected color palette relies on warm terracotta shades that mirror the earthy tones found in the landscape. This choice contributes to the visual identity of the building while also connecting it to its surroundings. The color scheme adds a sense of comfort to the interior, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture of Monte D'Oiro.

Walls that allow views throughout the building create frames that let sunlight and landscape filter into the guest experience, allowing for appreciation of the expansive vineyard scenery from multiple points within the complex.
