Terraced Green Landscape Framed by Minimalistic White Stripe

Project in-detail

A minimalistic white stripe defines a terraced structure that harmonizes with the landscape, offering expansive views and outdoor pathways, designed as a multifunctional hotel immersed in the surrounding vineyards.
5 key facts about this project
01
Minimalistic white stripe enhances the building's integration with urban settings.
02
Terraced layers offer panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.
03
Outdoor pathways encourage exploration and interaction with the landscape.
04
Public spaces are strategically arranged to maximize natural light and connection to nature.
05
Design preserves the charm of the existing Old Square to maintain historical context.

The White Monte D'Oiro Wine Hotel is set in an attractive landscape that connects modern design with the natural environment. It serves as a place for relaxation and social activities, reflecting a design concept that compares the structure to a young wine—slowly unveiling its layers to those who visit. The arrangement of spaces encourages exploration and interaction, highlighting the role of the setting in shaping the experience of guests.

Architectural Form

The hotel’s form changes based on where it is viewed. From the entrance square, it looks like a simple long white stripe, offering a clean and refined appearance that suits the surrounding urban area. From the vineyards, the building changes to resemble a gentle hillside, with terraced sections that blend into the landscape. This careful design helps create a connection between the built space and nature, enhancing the experience for visitors.

Public Spaces

Inside the hotel, public spaces are designed to create a lively environment. The lobby includes a reception area and a bar, acting as the main entry point for guests. Nearby, there is a restaurant with a wide terrace, an outdoor swimming pool, and spa zones, all promoting relaxation and socializing. These areas are placed to take full advantage of scenic views, strengthening the link between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Outdoor Integration

There is a strong focus on outdoor integration, with pathways leading guests through the vineyards. This encourages them to interact with the natural surroundings. The use of terracing not only supports the hotel’s structure but also provides beautiful views from various points. Careful attention to the land’s shape adds a welcoming feeling throughout the hotel.

Materiality

The materials chosen for the hotel reflect a modern and simple style. The use of a long white stripe suggests an intention for lightness and clarity, blending well with the environment. While specific materials are not described in detail, their appearance points to an elegance that complements the hotel’s design and its connection to nature.

The design culminates in a series of terraces providing expansive views and creating inviting outdoor spaces, allowing guests to enjoy their surroundings fully.
