The architectural design project "Yurt" is located in Puebla de Fantova and aims to create an environment for artists that combines their living and working spaces. The design concept is focused on fostering community and creativity while preserving the existing natural landscape. The project has a clear functional purpose that balances affordability with a supportive atmosphere for artistic expression.

Master Plan

The master plan includes several essential components such as a building, exhibition area, walkway, roadway, open area, and playground. These elements are arranged to encourage movement and interaction among residents and visitors. This thoughtful layout enhances connections and builds a sense of community.

Landscape Design

The landscape is thoughtfully divided into active and quiet zones, which serve a variety of purposes such as sports fields, playgrounds, green spaces, recreation streets, open-air exhibitions, and meditation areas. This zoning supports both active pursuits and opportunities for relaxation. It creates an environment that promotes well-being and inspires creativity.

Public and Private Spaces

The design provides dedicated public spaces, including co-working areas, yoga facilities, workshops, and a hostel. These spaces are intended to enrich the creative process and offer flexibility. The co-working areas allow for collaboration, while separate yoga spaces foster focus and calmness. The artist's residence is designed for comfort and affordability, with studio spaces that enhance creative work while offering access to communal areas.

Sustainability and Materiality

Sustainability is a key principle in the design, with a focus on preserving the existing olive and almond groves in the landscape. Natural clay and stone are used for the exterior facade, which not only looks appealing but also improves air quality. This choice highlights the project's commitment to environmentally responsible practices.

Pathways connect various areas, encouraging interactions among artists and promoting a sense of community. The design carefully separates private and public spaces to enhance privacy while still allowing for connectivity. This balance creates an inviting atmosphere for all forms of artistic expression.
