The design located in Central Park, New York, presents an exploration of the evolution of humankind through three suspended cubicals representing water, earth, and air. Each cubical has a specific purpose, allowing visitors to engage with the origin of life, human progress, and future possibilities. The design integrates these themes with the surrounding nature, promoting a reflection on the relationship between humanity and the environment.

Water Cubical

The water cubical serves as the entry point, highlighting water as the essential source of life. It includes a reception area and a small gallery that explains how life began in oceans and how ancestors transitioned from water to land. Interactive elements invite visitors to engage with the content, fostering an understanding of the role water has played in human history.

Earth Cubical

The earth cubical offers a detailed gallery that presents the journey of human evolution. This space uses interactive displays to convey information and is divided into sections focusing on various aspects of development. The first part illustrates the beginnings of life, while later sections showcase key achievements such as the invention of tools, the formation of communities, and the rise of early cities. It also addresses the negative impacts humans have had on the planet, illustrating the ongoing issues of environmental damage.

Air Cubical

The air cubical symbolizes freedom and future aspirations. It focuses on humanity’s potential for exploration and innovation. This section presents proposals for tackling environmental challenges, including ideas for colonizing other planets and efforts to restore our ecosystems. The design encourages visitors to think about sustainability and the responsibilities accompanying progress, underlining the importance of a balanced relationship with nature.

The overall design weaves together a narrative about human evolution through clearly defined cubicals. Each space interacts with the visitor in a unique way, creating a meaningful experience. The context of Central Park enhances the message, inviting reflection on the existing relationship between people and the environment. The project concludes with a profound narrative that draws visitors into a deeper understanding of their connection to life and the resilience of nature.
