Vale de Moses | The Yoga Cocoon is a design that emphasizes wellness and tranquility. Located in a peaceful area, the facility serves yoga practitioners and supports their physical and mental health. The concept focuses on creating an inviting environment with plenty of natural light and fresh air, making it suitable for mindfulness practices for people of all ages.

Architectural Concept

The design features a large main yoga hall that acts as the central space, surrounded by important support areas such as showers, a kitchenette, and lockers. Each element is thoughtfully placed to ensure convenience during practice. The open layout allows for a variety of yoga activities, promoting flexibility and encouraging a sense of community among users.

Indoor and Outdoor Integration

A significant aspect of the design is the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The main yoga hall seamlessly connects to an outdoor garden and yoga area. This arrangement permits users to interact with the natural surroundings, enhancing their appreciation for nature while providing diverse options for meditation and mental reflection in an open-air setting.

Sustainability and Materiality

Sustainability plays a notable role in the design, with a careful selection of materials and eco-friendly practices. Wood is used for flooring, contributing warmth to the interior and complementing the calming atmosphere. Solar panels are part of the design, reflecting a commitment to using renewable energy. There are also provisions for floor heating and a gray water collection and treatment area, demonstrating a consideration for efficient resource use.

User Accessibility and Comfort

Thoughtful attention to user accessibility is evident throughout the design. Toilets are strategically located close to the main yoga hall, allowing easy access during sessions. The overall layout promotes smooth circulation, making it easy for users to transition between spaces and enhancing the flow of activities.

The design culminates in a nurturing environment that highlights simplicity and a connection to nature. This fosters a peaceful retreat for yoga and mindfulness practice, inviting individuals to engage deeply with their inner selves and the world around them.
