The Wine Spa is a well-designed space located among expansive vineyards, providing guests with a relaxing experience that combines wellness and wine enjoyment. The architectural concept focuses on creating an intimate connection with the natural landscape, allowing the building to reflect changes throughout the seasons. With clearly defined areas for arrival, leisure, and socialization, the design enhances visitors’ understanding of wine culture.

Facade and Seasonal Changes

The façade is intentionally crafted to respond to the seasons. It changes visually, offering an engaging experience for guests regardless of the time of year. Large windows are used to bring in natural light and provide views of the vineyard, establishing a visual link between the inside and outside. This design choice fosters a sense of harmony with the surrounding environment.

Spatial Arrangement

The design consists of three separate levels, each serving a specific role. The top level includes a reception area that features a selection of Quinta Do Monte D’Oiro wines and a bar where guests can enjoy their drinks. This area encourages an immediate connection to the vineyard, ensuring that visitors feel welcomed as they enter.

The middle level focuses on practical elements of the spa, containing areas that support services and staff. This level aims for efficiency, allowing for smooth operations without distracting from the guest experience below.

The lower level features a warm jacuzzi pool designed for relaxation. It includes a bar where guests can socialize, as well as a private observation pool with large windows offering views of the vineyard. This design minimizes boundaries and invites guests to engage with the peaceful outdoor scenery while they unwind.

Material Choices and Details

The project utilizes concrete, glass, and wood panels as key materials. These elements create an environment that feels contemporary while still connecting to nature. A fireplace serves as a central feature, providing warmth and inviting social gatherings. It cleverly shares a flue with a cooking fireplace on the level above, showcasing an integration of functionality and design.

Every aspect of The Wine Spa is crafted to enhance the visitor experience, from the welcoming reception area to the calm relaxation spaces, all framed by the serene vineyard landscape.
