Retractable Windows and Wooden Walls Framing Panoramic Vineyard Views

Project in-detail

Positioned to emphasize panoramic vineyard views, retractable windows and a wooden wall create a seamless connection with nature in a space dedicated to wine tasting and communal gathering.
5 key facts about this project
01
Retractable windows create a direct connection between the interior and surrounding vineyards.
02
The central square serves as a multifunctional gathering space for various community activities.
03
A wooden wall in the tasting room enhances acoustics and visual separation.
04
Pedestrian pathways include ramps and stairs, ensuring accessibility for all visitors.
05
Large, open views of the landscape are emphasized, promoting an immersive tasting experience.

The design integrates the built environment with the surrounding natural landscape, enhancing the experience for wine enthusiasts within a thoughtfully created space. In a beautiful setting, the design includes a panoramic square, a tasting room with expansive views of the vineyards, and a series of pedestrian pathways that navigate the hill terrain. The overall concept aims to promote social interaction while maintaining a strong connection to the natural surroundings.

Central Square and Landmark

The focal point of the design is the central square, which features a notable landmark structure that guides visitors. This landmark not only provides direction but also enhances the visual appeal of the site while framing views of the landscape. The square is designed to host social interactions, inviting people to engage with their surroundings, especially during the beautiful moments of sunset.

Tasting Room Design

The tasting room is designed as a minimalist space that emphasizes visitor interaction. A large table serves as the center point, with the sommelier positioned to engage with guests while providing insights into the wines offered. Large windows are incorporated to allow natural light and offer unobstructed views, creating a connection between the interior space and the landscape outside.

Pathway Accessibility

Accessibility is essential in the layout of pedestrian pathways, which include both ramps and stairs. These paths are designed to allow movement for visitors of different ages and physical abilities, ensuring that everyone can navigate comfortably. They wind through the landscape, presenting various viewpoints and enhancing the overall experience of the vineyards.

Material Considerations

Concrete is used as the primary structural material for the tasting room and pathways, offering durability and a modern look. A wooden wall in the tasting room adds warmth to the minimalist design, creating a balance between the constructed space and the natural landscape.

Retractable windows further enhance the experience by inviting the outdoors inside. Guests can feel connected to the vineyards as they enjoy their wine tasting while surrounded by views of the natural scenery.
