MERGE is focused on providing modular, prefabricated housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness. The design aims to create communities that promote interaction and support for residents. Set in urban areas where quick solutions are needed, it emphasizes ease of assembly and disassembly, allowing the structures to adapt to different environments.

Modular Design

Each pod is designed to accommodate either two residents or a resident with a pet, maximizing the use of space while ensuring comfort. The interior includes essential amenities, such as a double bed, a foot pump sink, storage, and a table. The arrangement of these elements ensures that the living space remains functional in a compact area.

Sustainability

The addition of solar panels to each pod supports off-grid living and demonstrates a commitment to environmental responsibility. This feature allows residents to utilize renewable energy, which can help lower living costs and encourage a green lifestyle.

Personalization and Community

A pegboard system inside each pod allows residents to tailor their living spaces to their needs. This gives them a sense of ownership and makes the pods feel more welcoming.
