The Txotx Tili Wine Italy Guest Homes project is located in the quiet Umbrian Valley, Italy, designed to reflect the traditions of a family-owned winery. This design seeks to connect visitors with the landscape while creating functional spaces for both wine tasting and guest accommodations. The approach blends cultural heritage with natural features, resulting in an inviting atmosphere for those interested in the art of winemaking.

Wine Tasting Area

Visitors enter and find themselves in a two-level space dedicated to wine tasting. This area is carefully arranged to enhance the tasting experience, offering beautiful views at sunset. The lower level provides practical spaces for barrel storage and reception, while the upper level encourages social interactions among guests. The overall layout fosters a communal feel, allowing visitors to enjoy their time together.

Guest Accommodations

The guest rooms are positioned to take advantage of the morning sun. Each room overlooks the vineyards, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the surrounding nature. The designs maximize natural light and create visual connections with the landscape, ensuring comfort and a sense of place within the winery environment.

Integration with Landscape

The project incorporates wine vines that reach into the open gathering spaces. This design choice reinforces the link between the built environment and the agricultural landscape. Guests can engage with the winery setting directly, enhancing their overall experience. An infinity pool further connects indoor areas to the natural surroundings, encouraging movement between spaces.

Material Utilization

Repurposed bricks from existing structures on the site form the bearing walls of the wine tasting area and the walls of the guest rooms. This choice respects the site's history while minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, wood is used as the primary structural material, chosen for its visual compatibility and connection to the surrounding landscape. The roofing shapes follow the natural contours of the area, creating a sense of unity in design.

The thoughtful arrangement of space, light, and natural elements leads to a narrative that emphasizes the winery's traditions and the beauty of the Umbrian Valley. The design supports a deeper connection with nature, allowing visitors to enjoy both the architecture and the winemaking process.
