The Brivs cabin offers a unique experience grounded in the principles of water meditation. Located near a lake, the cabin is designed to encourage reflection and mindfulness. The overall concept emphasizes the relationship between the user and the surrounding natural environment. By integrating various elements of water into its design, the cabin creates an inviting space for contemplation.

Reflective Glass Floor

A key feature of the Brivs is the glass floor that floats above a shallow water pool. This floor allows users to see reflections, symbolizing their connection to water. The transparency invites light into the space while creating a sensation of being suspended over the water. This feature not only highlights the beauty of the surroundings but also encourages self-exploration.

Spatial Orientation

The cabin is strategically positioned to face the lake. This orientation draws in natural light and offers views of the landscape. The slanted roof contributes to this design by collecting rainwater and creating a waterfall effect. This addition connects the interior with the sounds of water, further enhancing the meditative atmosphere that the space aims to provide.

Material Considerations

Pine wood is an essential material used in constructing the Brivs. This choice aligns with sustainable practices, as pine is a renewable resource. The lightweight nature of this wood allows for efficient construction. Additionally, its natural finish complements the overall design, reinforcing the connection to the environment.

Meditation Pool Integration

A meditation pool is incorporated within the cabin to support mindfulness activities. Ventilation holes allow cool air to create gentle currents in the water, enriching the user’s experience. Furthermore, a heating system linked to the fireplace ensures that the pool remains comfortable throughout the seasons.

The overall design provides an effective flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. This encourages interaction with nature as part of daily life, enhancing the project’s focus on peace and tranquility. Each detail is thoughtfully curated to promote a deeper connection to the environment.
