The Kemeri Scaffolding Tower is located in Kemeri National Park, a place known for its tranquil natural beauty. This tower provides visitors with an elevated view of the park's landscapes, allowing for observation and interaction with the environment. The design emphasizes transparency and accessibility, aiming to connect people closely with nature while offering a space for community engagement.

Design Concept

The main goal of the Kemeri Scaffolding Tower is to foster a relationship between visitors and the surrounding landscape. The transparent structure allows for clear sightlines and creates a light presence in the park. By using recycled scaffolding as the primary material, the design promotes environmental sustainability and integrates well with the natural elements of the site.

Architectural Elements

Significant features include an observation platform and a ramp system. The observation platform serves as a space for socializing and enjoying views of the bog and forest. The ramp, designed with a gentle slope for easy access, ensures that everyone can reach the observation area comfortably. This thoughtful inclusion reflects a commitment to making the tower accessible to all visitors.

Environmental Considerations

The design considers the challenging conditions of the site, particularly its high soil humidity. The use of scaffolding minimizes the need for heavy construction equipment and reduces potential disruptions to the landscape. This approach respects the delicate ecosystem of Kemeri National Park while still providing a functional and engaging space for people.

In the center of the tower, a courtyard offers a place for visitors to relax and reflect. This area is framed by the transparent structure, enhancing the experience of being in nature and inviting a deeper connection with the surroundings.
