BTechno is an architectural response to the rich techno music culture of Berlin, connecting with the historic moment of the Berlin Wall's fall in 1989. The design aims to create a space that embodies the dynamic and immersive spirit of nightlife, serving as a cultural center that integrates music and architectural experience. The concept focuses on movement and rhythm, reflecting the lively atmosphere found in Berlin’s club scene.

Materials

Raw steel and concrete form the core of the materials used, representing the industrial style often seen in Berlin's techno clubs. These choices give the structure a strong physical presence while tying it to the city’s heritage. The materials invite interaction and evoke the gritty yet vibrant environment from which techno music has emerged.

Color Palette

Inside, bold hues of red, yellow, and blue are featured, resembling the spotlight colors typical of famous clubs like Berghain, Tresor, and Watergate. This color use enriches the space, creating a lively environment that echoes the excitement of Berlin's nightlife. These colors guide visitors through the venue, enhancing their connection with the surroundings.

Spatial Arrangement

The layout encourages movement and social interaction among guests. Spaces are designed to be flexible, promoting a sense of community that is central to the experience of techno culture. By reflecting the rhythm and energy of the music, the design fosters a relationship between the occupants and the space, emphasizing the importance of shared experiences in nightlife.

The interior design, with its mix of textures and vibrant colors, creates an engaging atmosphere that highlights the essence of techno. Through its focus on movement and experience, BTechno reflects both the cultural roots and modern evolution of Berlin’s music scene.
