05
Sustainable material choices reflect a commitment to environmental responsibility.

The design project "EARTH & WATER: THE RITUAL OF VIEW TASTING" explores the relationship between sensory experiences and the surrounding landscape. It is a space dedicated to wine tasting, providing an intimate setting that encourages appreciation of both the drink and the natural environment. The design aims to create a comfortable and secure shelter that enhances this connection, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the experience.

Materials and Construction

The main material used for construction is rammed earth. This choice contributes to the overall feel of the space, as it helps to minimize noise and create a quieter atmosphere for tasting wine. Additionally, rammed earth is effective at regulating temperature, ensuring the interior remains comfortable in various weather conditions. This environmentally friendly choice reflects a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Spatial Layout

The design features a thoughtful arrangement that fosters interaction among guests and emphasizes the view of the surrounding landscape. Upon entering, visitors find themselves in a welcoming wine tasting area, designed to offer clear sight lines towards the outdoors. Features such as sliding windows and wooden sun breakers allow for a flexible connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, adapting to changing light and weather.

Environmental Considerations

The project also incorporates a ventilated roof system aimed at improving air quality and comfort within the space. This design choice enhances natural cooling while helping to control humidity levels. By prioritizing these environmental aspects, the design promotes a pleasant atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment.

The overall result is a space that encourages visitors to appreciate both the wine and the beauty of the landscape around them. Every design detail is intentional, creating an experience that intertwines the enjoyment of wine with the surrounding environment.
