The Vale de Moses Yoga House is located in a quiet valley and is designed to enhance the connection between mind, body, and soul. This retreat serves as a space for yoga, meditation, and personal reflection. The design focuses on creating a balanced environment that encourages well-being among its users. It embodies the concept of trinity, expressing harmony and unity in both personal and collective practices.

Spatial Organization

The layout features clearly defined areas for gathering, private contemplation, and physical activities. This organization promotes various uses, allowing individuals to engage fully in their practices while providing opportunities for social interaction. The arrangement fosters a sense of community and support, encouraging users to explore different aspects of their well-being in a cohesive environment.

Materiality

Natural materials are integral to the construction of the yoga house. Bamboo is used for the structure’s foundations because of its lightweight and durable properties, making it a sustainable choice. Cork is chosen for the walls and floors, providing insulation and a warm, tactile experience inside the facility. Large glass panels dominate the building's exterior, flooding the interior with natural light and offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, which enhances the connection to nature.

Sensory Engagement

A central garden designed to awaken the five senses is a notable feature of the yoga house. Visual, auditory, tactile, aromatic, and gustatory elements are carefully incorporated to create a calming atmosphere. The layout of the garden invites users to engage with their environment, promoting relaxation and mindfulness. Additionally, leisure spaces encourage social interactions, creating a sense of belonging within the community.

Natural Harmony

The design emphasizes a natural balance that aligns with the valley's beauty. Modified pyramids represent the trinity concept and are strategically placed to provide striking views. This geometric choice serves as both a functional consideration and an aesthetic one. It enhances the overall experience, inviting users to connect with nature while enjoying the tranquil surroundings, reminding them of the purpose behind their visit.
