The architectural design creates a rest stop intended for bikers, set within a rural landscape. It takes inspiration from European building styles, merging practicality with an understanding of cyclist needs. The design focuses on ease of access and comfort, making it a practical facility that also welcomes those traveling through the countryside.

Design Concept

The design emphasizes an inviting atmosphere for cyclists. The building's layout is aimed at catching the attention of bikers, with the bicycle parking area as a primary feature. This orientation helps users find the facilities easily and encourages them to take a break. Shaded outdoor benches are included to promote comfort and social interaction, allowing riders to rest and enjoy their surroundings.

Space Utilization

The internal layout prioritizes efficiency and convenience. A mezzanine level provides essential features, such as toilets, showers, and luggage storage. There are also specialized areas for bike maintenance, addressing the practical needs of cyclists. Additionally, having a rainwater collection system and a food preparation counter supports sustainable practices for users during their stay.

Material Considerations

Natural materials play a significant role in the overall design. Wood forms the main structure, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Stone is used for the fireplace, adding a traditional touch. Polycarbonate windows let in natural light and offer clear views, enhancing the interior space while ensuring adequate insulation.

The result is a thoughtful integration of the building into its environment, where cyclists can find useful amenities while feeling connected to nature. Each detail contributes to an overall sense of ease and comfort in a setting designed for rest and rejuvenation.
