The Columbarium - The Chamber of Memories offers a thoughtful approach to memorial spaces, combining elements of nature with areas for reflection. Set within four dedicated garden fields, the design includes various perennial blooming flowers, creating a vibrant environment. These flowers contribute both color and fragrance, making the entire space feel alive. Visitors have the opportunity to connect with personal memories in a tranquil setting.

Spatial Organization

The walls of the columbarium are arranged in pairs to maximize sunlight from the east and west. This placement enhances the experience, as light filters through the perforated structures and creates shifting shadows. The movement of light throughout the day helps visitors become aware of time and encourages them to think about its passage as they walk through the space.

Seamless Transitions

Visitors can explore the columbarium by following paths that blend indoor and outdoor gardens. The layout encourages easy movement between the architecture and landscaped areas. Surrounding the columbarium are two courtyards that provide additional spaces for contemplation, honoring the existing graves. The design allows for an intimate relationship between the building and its environment.

Sensory Experience

Trees and flowers around the columbarium create a calm atmosphere for reflection. These natural elements are essential to the overall experience, promoting thoughtful consideration of memory and existence. The design emphasizes sensory engagement, inviting visitors to explore the connection between the physical structure and the deeper meanings attached to memory.

The carefully planned arrangement of flowers along the walls highlights how light interacts with nature, enriching the atmosphere. This attention to detail reinforces the columbarium's role as a dedicated space for remembering loved ones.
