Panoramic Views Framed by Concrete and Wood in a Communal Wine Tasting Venue

Project in-detail

Designed with panoramic views that connect visitors to the surrounding vineyard, the venue employs a combination of concrete and wood to create an inviting space for communal wine tasting experiences.
5 key facts about this project
01
Lighting design incorporates clocks that reflect different global time zones.
02
Large windows provide uninterrupted views of the surrounding vineyard.
03
The layout features multiple entry points to enhance guest experience.
04
A blend of concrete and wood emphasizes sustainability and durability.
05
Flexibility in design accommodates various types of events beyond wine tasting.

The design focuses on the cultural importance and lasting appeal of wine within its natural setting. Located in a landscape rich in viticulture, the venue aims to provide an engaging experience for those who visit. The design centers around the idea that "it's always wine o'clock somewhere," highlighting wine as a source of connection among people from different cultures, regardless of time.

Lighting Design

The lighting strategy incorporates technological clocks that represent different global time zones. This unique feature encourages social interaction among guests. By sharing the experience of tasting wine, visitors from various backgrounds can come together in a meaningful way. The changing light creates an inviting atmosphere that enhances the enjoyment of the wine and the company.

Spatial Configuration

The layout is flexible and open, allowing for various types of gatherings, from small wine tastings to larger events such as weddings and workshops. Multiple entry points invite visitors to explore the venue at their own pace. This design promotes an easy flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, which enhances the overall experience for those attending.

Materiality

The selection of materials includes concrete, wood, and marble, chosen to reflect both modern building practices and the traditions of wine culture. These materials serve practical purposes while contributing to the warmth and character of the space. By using these elements thoughtfully, the design supports a focus on sustainability and harmony with the environment.

In the tasting room, expansive windows provide views of the surrounding vineyard, drawing guests into the landscape. The thoughtful integration of large openings allows the beauty of the outdoor setting to become a part of the wine tasting experience, enriching the moment for each visitor.
