The Tili Wine Italy Guest House is located in Assisi, Italy, providing a space for wine tasting tours that highlight Tili Vini’s organic products. The design focuses on sustainability and community interaction, aiming to enhance awareness of environmental practices. It creates an inviting atmosphere for guests, encouraging social engagement while respecting the surrounding natural landscape.

Architectural Features

The building combines communal and private spaces to encourage a sense of togetherness. An open wooden structure dominates the design, with an enclosed courtyard acting as a focal point for gatherings. This arrangement supports interactions between guests, allowing for both casual discussions and organized events. The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it suitable for stays of any length.

Functional Spaces

Important spaces include the Workshop Terrace, which comes equipped with a pizza oven, sink, and BBQ grill. These features allow for various activities and cooking experiences among guests. Additionally, the multi-purpose terrace is flexible, serving as a venue for yoga classes or artistic performances. Each space is designed to foster community, ensuring that every guest feels included and comfortable.

Sustainable Practices

Energy efficiency is a key focus, with the aim of achieving a zero-energy building status. High-performance insulation is used in the roofs and walls, contributing to thermal comfort throughout the year. Natural ventilation and strategic window placement help to maximize daylight and passive heating, reducing reliance on artificial energy sources and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.

Material Selection

Traditional local stone is used for the walls, creating a connection with the regional landscape and history. This choice in materials enhances the visual appeal while minimizing environmental impact. The surrounding gravel landscape facilitates proper drainage, integrating the structure smoothly with its mountainous surroundings and emphasizing its commitment to sustainability.

The central courtyard features a fireplace, becoming a place for guests to gather and enjoy the outdoors together. This space is designed to encourage exploration and appreciation of the natural beauty of the area, contributing to the overall experience of Tili Vini’s offerings.
