Located in Fantova, the design integrates sustainable practices and encourages community involvement. It serves several purposes, including a restaurant, gallery, and olive oil mill, creating a space focused on local culture and agriculture. The overall approach emphasizes how architecture can respond to its environment while fulfilling practical needs.

Water Collection System

A prominent feature of the design is the water collection system that efficiently channels water to the kitchen. This setup highlights the importance of resource management and supports sustainable building principles. In addition, solar panels are included to generate renewable energy and provide shade, which further underscores the project's environmental focus.

Spatial Organization

The layout consists of three levels thoughtfully arranged to promote movement and interaction. A platform connects to the gallery space, enhancing accessibility for visitors and residents. The use of scaffolding in the restaurant area allows for future changes and adaptability, making it easier to meet the community's evolving requirements.

Material Palette

Materials chosen for the design include stone slates, bricks, timber, and tiles. These elements contribute to the project’s durability and create a strong link to the surrounding environment. Their practical application also reflects local building traditions, reinforcing the connection between architecture and cultural identity.

Community and Multifunctional Spaces

Community spaces are central to the design. Living units feature shared kitchens and laundry facilities, promoting social connections among residents. The multifunctional building includes areas for exhibitions and yoga classes, which offers flexibility for a range of activities. This design encourages artistic expression and supports community culture.

The inclusion of an olive oil mill stands out as a significant feature. It serves educational purposes and promotes local agricultural practices. By integrating this aspect into the design, the project enhances its narrative and emphasizes the importance of sustainable food production within the community context.
