TECHNO KABINE reinterprets urban engagement with a series of modular, self-contained structures located along the River Spree in Berlin. Designed to reflect the city's rich nightlife, these installations serve as spaces where individuals can connect and experience the vibrant techno culture. Each pod aims to foster inclusivity and interaction, turning the urban environment into a lively community area that highlights Berlin's history of division and eventual unification.

Material and Structure

The architectural design features a Nylon Shell that gives each pod a lantern-like appearance when illuminated from the inside. This material provides both ease of assembly and durability. Waterproof Material is also used to protect the interior from different weather conditions, ensuring the structures remain functional in an outdoor setting.

Interactive Elements

Inside each pod, an Interior Control Panel allows users to personalize their experience. This control features enable people to choose their music and lighting, enhancing the communal feel of the space. Curved LED Panels integrated into the design adapt the lighting based on the atmosphere, enriching the sensory environment that users engage with.

Design for Accessibility

The design includes an Accessible Opening, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can enjoy the space. This focus on accessibility encourages diverse participation from the community. A circular layout within each pod promotes easy movement and reduces the presence of sharp corners and dark areas, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

Mobility and Visibility

TECHNO KABINE highlights the importance of transportability with a configuration that allows easy relocation and use in various urban settings. The structure features a Glowing Heart that lights up when occupied, adding a lively visual element. With LED Dancefloor and Ceiling features, the interior becomes flexible, creating an atmosphere that resonates with Berlin's nightlife culture.

Positioned along the River Spree, these pods achieve maximum visibility, embedding themselves in the city's urban scene. Each unit combines light and sound to create a space filled with energy and connection.
