The "Embraced Void" cabin is a meditation space designed for individual use, located in a natural setting that enhances the user’s connection to the outdoors. The design focuses on simplicity and function, creating a calming environment. Thoughtfully structured to facilitate solitude and reflection, the cabin integrates key elements that enhance the user experience.

Architecture Concept
The concept is based on clear and uncomplicated forms that promote tranquility. A pitched roof rests on low bearing walls, creating a unified shape that enhances both stability and comfort. The central void in the design allows light to penetrate, fostering an atmosphere conducive to meditation and personal reflection.

Spatial Organization
Functionality is key to the cabin's layout, with thick gable walls carefully accommodating necessary features. The entrance leads to a closet and a desk, positioned on one side for practical use. Opposite these, a fireplace, kitchenette, water supply, dry toilet, and outdoor shower provide essential comforts. This arrangement keeps the living space open and uncluttered, allowing for uninterrupted interaction with nature.

Materiality
Incorporating local traditions, the cabin features wooden planks that age naturally over time. This choice ties the design to its regional heritage and creates a sense of authenticity. The varied textures of the overlapping wood add visual interest, establishing a strong connection between the building and its surroundings.

Connection to Nature
A large round window acts as a focal point, linking the interior of the cabin to the landscape outside. This opening allows view of the changing environment, inviting the user to engage with nature. The surrounding terrace offers additional space for meditation and contemplation, reinforcing the cabin’s role as a quiet retreat.

The aging wood reflects the passage of time, enhancing the sense of peace that defines the cabin’s atmosphere. The careful design choices ensure that users can find both solitude and connection in this thoughtfully crafted space.
