Imprint Infill & Incite proposes a revitalization of Kharkiv's historic Freedom Square to serve as a dynamic urban center that integrates contemporary civic functions with the site’s historical context. The design emphasizes social interaction, ecological awareness, and connectivity, creating a versatile environment for both residents and visitors. The approach balances active public areas with quieter zones to accommodate a range of community activities.

Spatial Framework and Landmarks
The square is organized around key spatial anchors such as Circle Square, Vse Dlya Peremogy, and the Regional Administration Building, which function as orientation points and activity hubs. Additional connections to nearby landmarks, including Derzhprom and Karazin University, enrich the spatial experience and support diverse uses. A network of pedestrian paths, bike lanes, and secondary trails facilitates safe and comfortable movement throughout the site.

Landscape Integration and Civic Interface
The landscape strategy blends urban and natural elements through features like the Endless Greenscape and Mosaic of Nature, enhancing biodiversity and visual interest. The Regional Administration Building is reconfigured with an updated ground floor that includes a central atrium, serving as a civic hub that links interior functions with the public realm. The design fosters a continuous flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, supporting both communal engagement and quiet reflection.
