The GOBOX is an innovative solution for public spaces, featuring mobile dance booths designed to encourage community interaction. Located near Berlin U-Bahn stations and public parks, these booths aim to enhance leisure activities in urban environments. The overall concept focuses on flexibility, allowing users to rent the booths for short periods while engaging with music and video content through a dedicated app.

Spatial Configuration

The interior layout of the GOBOX promotes both entertainment and relaxation. Each booth is equipped with audio-visual systems, including ceiling-mounted speakers and a large rotating monitor. These features enable users to interact with music and videos, enhancing the experience. The design also prioritizes privacy and comfort, which are essential in busy city settings.

Material Use

Constructed primarily from a steel frame, the GOBOX ensures durability and stability. The walls consist of aluminum composite panels, which are lightweight and strong. To improve user comfort, the booths include sound and thermal insulation that minimizes outside noise. The use of tempered double-pane glass allows for visibility while maintaining an insulated environment.

Functional Features

GOBOX booths perform multiple roles, including serving as emergency shelters for homeless individuals. This aspect reflects a commitment to social responsibility. Each booth is equipped with outdoor CCTV and access control through the app, ensuring safety for all users. Additionally, the ceiling contains features like a HEPA filter and disinfectant spray system, which help maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

Lighting and Ambiance

The GOBOX incorporates sound-activated LED lights that create an inviting atmosphere. These lights not only enhance the visual experience but also encourage users to engage with the space. This design detail contributes to a lively environment, making the GOBOX a place for enjoyment and community connection. The overall design merges functionality with a thoughtful response to social needs, creating a well-considered addition to urban landscapes.
