The design at Quinta do Monte d'Oiro is located in the scenic golden hills of Alenquer, Portugal. It operates as a winery and a hospitality venue, blending modern features with the area's historic charm. The design aims to create a strong connection between the natural environment, the building's form, and the experiences of its users. This interaction encourages a sense of community and appreciation for local culture.

Spatial Organization

The layout encourages movement and exploration. Visitors walk through areas that transition from traditional agricultural spaces to modern accommodations. This design invites guests to engage with the landscape and with each other. The flow through the vineyard is intentional, highlighting the winery as a place where people come together.

Design Integrity

The buildings reflect the architectural style of rural Portugal, showcasing timeless structures that respect the area's history. The design combines old and new elements to serve current needs while honoring the past. Warm materials used in significant spaces create a welcoming atmosphere that connects with the natural surroundings.

Culinary and Wellness Spaces

Dining facilities are positioned to provide views of the vineyards, allowing guests to enjoy meals outdoors. This setup encourages social interaction among visitors and emphasizes the winery's role in fostering shared experiences. The wellness facilities, including a spa and pool area, are designed to offer peaceful environments for relaxation. Meeting spaces above the spa bring in natural light and can be adjusted to meet various needs.

In each area, the design reflects a careful balance between architecture and nature. The guest rooms offer serene views of the golden hills, framing a landscape that complements the overall experience. The thoughtful arrangement of spaces ensures that visitors feel connected to both the environment and the culture of the region.
