### Project Overview

"Conditioned Suburbia" is situated on the outskirts of Zagreb, Croatia, addressing socio-spatial challenges common in suburban areas characterized by insufficient planning and infrastructure. The design seeks to enhance the relationship between urban living and environmental awareness while encouraging community interaction and participation. It proposes a unique model of adaptive architecture that evolves alongside its users and changing environmental conditions.

### Spatial Configuration and Community Engagement

The layout centers around an expansive inflatable pool, serving as both a recreational area and a multifunctional community hub. Surrounding the pool are flexible public spaces designed to facilitate social engagement, with seating areas that encourage interaction. The layout's emphasis on accessibility fosters inclusivity, offering inviting zones that transition smoothly between indoor and outdoor environments. Large glass facades enhance visual connectivity, bridging the interior space with its natural surroundings and encouraging community involvement.

### Materiality and Sustainability

The project utilizes innovative materials that reinforce its functional and aesthetic properties. The roof is constructed from inflatable ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), known for its lightweight and transparent qualities, allowing natural light to permeate the internal environment. A robust steel framework provides structural stability, complementing the ethereal characteristics of the ETFE. Polished concrete surfaces establish a modern industrial aesthetic while providing durability. Additionally, the incorporation of sustainable infrastructure systems, such as natural lighting and efficient air intake and exhaust, reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

Overall, "Conditioned Suburbia" signifies a modern approach to community-centric design, emphasizing seasonal adaptability and a strong connection with nature while promoting user well-being.
