The Spirala Ecological Village is a community-focused development that integrates residential living with environmental sustainability. Located in a natural setting, it consists of 20 buildings designed for communal living and working. The design concept highlights the connection to nature, encouraging residents to understand their impact on the environment through daily experiences.

Conceptual Framework

The layout prioritizes shared spaces, such as a kitchen, storage areas, restrooms, a gallery, and a social area. These spaces are carefully arranged to foster interaction among residents. The positioning of a pond within the landscape enhances the community's relationship with nature, providing both visual appeal and ecological benefits. This design invites residents to engage with their surroundings and each other.

Sustainable Design Elements

A key feature of the village is the green roof system, which serves multiple purposes. It improves insulation for the buildings while also creating habitats for local wildlife. This aspect of the design promotes energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, reflecting a growing trend in sustainable architecture. Integrating natural features into the building fabric supports a lifestyle that respects ecological systems.

Accessibility and Circulation

The design includes ramps and pathways that ensure all residents can easily navigate the community. Floor Sections A-A' and B-B' demonstrate the thoughtful arrangement of spaces that facilitates movement. The layout connects different areas, allowing for smooth transitions between cooking, socializing, and creative activities. Large glass elements bring in natural light, enhancing the living experience and connecting the indoors with nature.

Architectural Detail

Careful attention is paid to the use of natural materials that support the vision of sustainability. The incorporation of green roof panels enhances the efficiency of the buildings while contributing to the aesthetics of the community. This detail exemplifies the goals of the Spirala Ecological Village, which seeks to create a balanced environment. It emphasizes the importance of a sustainable lifestyle, encouraging residents to thrive in harmony with nature.
