Open Space is designed as a retreat that allows individuals to escape their daily routines. The pod is intended for two people and is set in a natural environment, promoting tranquility and connection with the outdoors. The overall concept focuses on creating a comfortable space that helps occupants relax and unwind while remaining open to the beauty of nature.

Design Concept

The key idea behind Open Space is to facilitate a strong relationship between the interior and the surrounding landscape. The design supports this relationship by employing large glass panels that encourage plenty of natural light and provide views from every angle. This approach invites the occupants to engage with their environment, transforming the experience of being in a natural setting.

Site Organization

Open Space utilizes an effective layout that allows for distinct areas within the pod without traditional walls. Glass partitions define spaces while maintaining visibility and connection. For instance, the bathroom is conveniently located next to the bedroom, allowing for privacy without sacrificing the sense of openness. The design also ensures that occupants can enjoy the scenery, enhancing their time spent in the pod.

Material Use

Materials in Open Space are selected for their practicality and warmth. The structure relies on steel, which offers strength and stability. Warm wood is used for the floors and ceilings, providing a comforting contrast to the modern glass elements. The combination enables a cozy atmosphere while ensuring durability. Additionally, gemstone wallpaper adds an interesting texture to the interior, further connecting the space to its natural environment.

Sustainability Features

Sustainability is a vital component of Open Space. The roof is equipped with solar panels, which help to minimize energy consumption. Water and sewage systems are integrated discreetly to maintain the space's aesthetic. This thoughtful consideration for the environment aligns with modern needs for eco-friendly designs, making the pod both functional and responsible.

Open Space is characterized by its simple design and focus on comfort. The architecture encourages occupants to leave distractions behind and enjoy the surrounding nature. With thoughtfully chosen materials and a practical layout, the design captures the essence of retreating into a serene environment.
