Emphasizes a central olive tree as a symbolic entrance feature.
03
Incorporates a biodigester for sustainable wastewater treatment.
04

The Vale de Moses yoga retreat is located in a peaceful forest setting designed to promote well-being through an inward journey. The project is guided by the teachings of the five koshas, which represent layers of human existence. The retreat aims to create a harmonious connection between mind and body, facilitating relaxation and introspection.

Spatial Organization

The layout includes an outdoor yoga space and a sheltered courtyard that enhances the relationship between nature and the retreat's facilities. There are also shower areas designed for relaxation after practice. A kitchenette with a small garden provides nourishment and keeps a connection with the natural surroundings, making the space welcoming and functional.

Entrance Design

The entrance design serves as a crucial focal point. It features a direct view of a central olive tree that marks the transition into a calming environment. Visitors walk through carefully arranged gardens, creating a sense of arrival that prepares them for a contemplative experience. This thoughtful approach to the entrance invites individuals to step away from the outside world.

Interior Arrangements

Inside the retreat, glass links bring in natural light and connect outside areas with the interior. Designated seating zones invite relaxation after yoga sessions, contributing to a comforting atmosphere. Walls in the building are designed to provide shade while also framing interesting views, increasing the visual quality of the space.

Sustainability Features

Innovative sustainability practices are weaved into the design. A rainwater collection system has been incorporated into the roof, allowing for water reuse for toilets and showers. Wastewater is treated with a biodigester for garden irrigation, aligning the retreat's ecological goals with its focus on well-being.

The practice space utilizes large glass panes, providing wide views of the valley. This connection to the landscape encourages moments of quiet reflection, allowing individuals to appreciate the peaceful surroundings during their time at the retreat.
