The design focuses on enabling users to take an active role in their housing development. Located in Eiffel 65, district BLUE, the project creates a community-oriented living environment that allows for personalized expressions of identity. The overall concept emphasizes the need for individuals to connect with their homes and their neighbors, facilitating both personal and collective experiences.

Community Engagement

Central to the design is the promotion of community engagement. Residents are encouraged to come together, share ideas, and participate in hands-on workshops. This collaborative spirit nurtures a sense of belonging and accountability. By allowing residents to influence the design process, the homes become an extension of their lives, reflecting their unique stories and shared experiences.

Flexible Housing Solutions

The houses offer flexibility, which is vital for adapting to the varying needs of residents. The designs support modifications, enabling residents to change their living spaces in response to life’s shifting circumstances. Whether it is a growing family or a need for a home office, the structures can evolve to remain relevant. This adaptability reinforces how important it is for homes to be dynamic rather than fixed.

Material Choices

Sustainability plays a critical role in the selection of materials used in construction. Fly Ash Concrete is chosen for its durability and low maintenance, while also contributing to energy efficiency with its high thermal mass. Recycled Aluminum is utilized for its structural integrity and resistance to corrosion. This material can be recycled completely, highlighting a commitment to environmentally friendly practices.

Design Dynamics

The design integrates user participation, community involvement, and sustainable practices. Each home serves as a canvas for individuality while supporting the growth of a cohesive community. The spaces are not just physical structures; they embody connections among residents, fostering a sense of unity through shared living. This design approach illustrates how homes can be tailored to individual needs while also enhancing the strength of community bonds.
