Vessel - A Yoga Cabin & Retreat offers a unique experience aimed at promoting wellness. Located on a mountainside, the design connects users with nature while serving as a space for yoga and relaxation. The overall concept emphasizes flow and accessibility through carefully thought-out design elements.

Access and Functionality
Visitors enter the vessel via a reinforced concrete ramp, which allows for easy access while maintaining the site's natural contours. This consideration highlights the intention to make the space open and welcoming to all. Inside, the layout includes distinct areas, such as a yoga room and a balcony, which encourage both group activities and moments of personal reflection, enhancing the retreat atmosphere.

Spatial Organization
The design draws inspiration from natural forms, creating an environment in which indoor and outdoor areas blend together. The arrangement of spaces promotes smooth transitions, inviting users to engage with their surroundings. This encourages an overall sense of mindfulness and calm, tailored to the retreat's mission of well-being. The careful planning supports different activities while keeping a focus on relaxation.

Materiality
The materials used in the vessel include Portuguese cedar and 1" thick frit-glass. Portuguese cedar not only adds warmth but also connects the structure to its setting in a sustainable way. Meanwhile, the frit-glass serves functional and decorative purposes, allowing natural light to enter and reinforcing the bond between inside and outside. This connection to the environment is central to the user experience.

As natural light filters through the frit-glass, it creates shifting patterns inside the vessel, enriching the overall ambiance and emphasizing the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
