Floating Oasis with Marble Surfaces and Natural Water Elements

Project in-detail

Constructed above a tranquil pond, the floating orbs create a seamless retreat that integrates natural water features and marble elements, serving as a collaborative and relaxing virtual workspace.
5 key facts about this project
01
Floating orbs create distinct living and workspace areas without physical boundaries.
02
A central pond enhances tranquility and provides natural water elements.
03
Conical obelisks serve as functional fireplaces, adding warmth to the lounge.
04
Glass orbs function as projection screens for immersive virtual experiences.
05
Rings of various materials define zones within the workspace, promoting focus.

The ORB presents a distinctive approach to spatial design, exploring the potential of floating environments. Set against a range of backdrops such as clouds, night skies, mountains, and open space, it serves as a virtual home that goes beyond traditional architectural constraints. The concept revolves around floating orbs, allowing for fluid movement and interaction, encouraging occupants to engage with their surroundings in new ways.

Living Space
In the living area, a large waterbody creates a tranquil setting. Central to this space is a pond featuring a fountain, with vibrant lotuses surrounding it. This incorporation of water enhances the peaceful atmosphere, inviting relaxation. The lounge is designed as a retreat, promoting reflection and calmness amid its natural elements.

Workspace
The workspace emphasizes flexibility and modern functionality, reflecting contemporary practices. A glass orb serves as a screen that projects virtual environments, adapting to digital needs. The floating desk accommodates multiple avatars, promoting collaboration. This design offers a serene environment that encourages productivity.

Materiality
Material choices play a significant role in enhancing the design experience. The central floating desk is made from marble, providing a practical yet elegant surface. Additional design elements include rings created from stone, mirror, water, tile, fabric, and marble. These materials contribute to distinct zones within the workspace, fostering concentration and creativity.

Surrounding the lounge, conical obelisks serve as fireplaces, adding warmth and light. This feature enhances social interactions, creating an inviting atmosphere. The careful placement of these elements encourages connection among occupants while maintaining a focus on the beauty of the environment.
