Embracing Nature Through Warm Wood and Recycled Fabrics In a Meditation Space

Project in-detail

Constructed with laminated beams and infused with warm wood tones alongside recycled fabrics, the meditation space fosters a tranquil environment that encourages deep introspection and connection with nature.
5 key facts about this project
01
Constructed entirely with laminated curved beams tailored for optimal light flow.
02
Designed with large windows that enhance the connection to the surrounding landscape.
03
Incorporates recycled fabrics in the interior for sustainability and comfort.
04
Elevated meditation areas offer unobstructed views of nature.
05
Warm wood tones create a serene and inviting atmosphere throughout.

The project is inspired by the lotus flower, which symbolizes a deep connection to nature and the journey toward understanding higher consciousness. Located in a peaceful environment, the structure serves as a space for meditation, encouraging users to engage meaningfully with the world around them. The design reflects themes of growth and emergence, paralleling the way a flower opens to embrace sunlight.

Spatial Configuration

The layout emphasizes an open and fluid design that allows natural light to fill the interior. Large windows are placed to create a strong visual connection with the outdoors, enhancing the feeling of calm and serenity that is vital for meditation. This integration invites users to experience and appreciate the surrounding landscape.

Materiality and Aesthetic

Warm colors define the aesthetic of the space, achieved through the careful selection of materials. Recycled fabrics and wood contribute to a natural look that resonates with the environment. These choices also promote comfort while supporting a commitment to sustainable practices, reinforcing the overall theme of harmony with nature.

Structural Elements

The use of laminated curved beams stands out, both for their support and their visual appeal. These beams frame views and provide a sense of structure while complementing the design's organic lines. This architectural choice brings the essence of nature indoors and helps reinforce the connection between the interior space and its surroundings.

Elevated areas are designed specifically for meditation, allowing users to fully engage in their practice. These elevated zones provide an unobstructed view of the outside world, encouraging users to immerse themselves in their surroundings. The gentle curves of the design evoke the natural form of the lotus flower, embodying the concepts of emergence and tranquility throughout the space.
