05
Incorporates a tree-like structure to blend with the biosphere environment.

Aerie is an architectural proposal located in the North Latvia Biosphere Reserve. It is designed to foster a close relationship between people and the surrounding nature. The structure takes on a tree-like form, featuring various nests that serve as areas for rest and gathering. The concept focuses on encouraging social interactions while engaging users in outdoor activities that connect them with the environment.

Design Concept
-
The design offers a unique experience by positioning each nest along cardinal points. This layout ensures that users receive panoramic views of the stunning landscape. The approach prioritizes functionality and versatility, allowing for both communal spaces and quieter retreat areas within each nest.

Recreational Activities
-
The program includes several outdoor activities, such as rope courses and ziplining. These are intended to encourage active participation in nature. Additionally, winter months introduce options like ice skating and curling, allowing for seasonal adjustments that cater to various user interests. This aspect emphasizes the structure's capability to serve different recreational needs throughout the year.

Circulation and User Experience
-
Circulation within Aerie is carefully planned to enhance user experience. A central lift provides easy movement between levels, while pathways designed for exploring different views promote engagement with the surroundings. These circulation methods integrate recreational spaces with beautiful vistas, ensuring visitors can enjoy both the activities and the natural scenery.

Design Integration
-
The goal of Aerie is to unite architecture with nature, creating a welcoming space that encourages community and respects the environment. Each nest acts not only as a functional space but also as an important visual element within the landscape, contributing to an overall experience that highlights social connection and ecological understanding.

At the center of Aerie, the arrangement of nests provides a thoughtful layout for community interactions, designed to capture the breathtaking views of the North Latvia Biosphere Reserve.
