Double-skin façade enhances thermal efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
02
Mezzanine level increases usable area for events and exhibitions.
03
Adaptive folding doors create flexible space configurations for diverse activities.
04
Curtains allow natural light while maintaining user privacy.
05
Pavilion design redefines the relationship between interior and exterior spaces.

The architectural design presents a modern structure that integrates dynamic spaces focused on community engagement. Located in a culturally rich area, the building serves as a multifunctional venue. It combines the traditional use of a gallery with vibrant public interaction. The design concept emphasizes flexibility, accessibility, and social connection, creating an environment that encourages artistic expression and community involvement.

Structural Elements

At the heart of the design is a double-skin system that elevates the slabs. This approach allows for a mezzanine above the social area, effectively utilizing vertical space. The mezzanine enhances the overall layout and supports diverse usage. A pavilion at the end of the gallery adds complexity to the structure. This space not only improves interior dynamics but also contributes to the exterior visual appeal.

Materials and Finishes

Several key materials have been chosen to support the building's goals. The PTR structure serves as a crucial element, providing foundational support for the slabs and ceilings. A durable slab covering ensures safety and structural integrity. Rigid PVC flooring is incorporated to enhance ease of maintenance, which is essential for a space designed to accommodate many visitors.

Spatial Configuration

The interior layout prioritizes openness, allowing for clear sightlines and movement. Strategically placed folding doors enable flexible space arrangements, adapting to various activities. Curtains are employed to create privacy while allowing natural light to filter in. This thoughtful design fosters a user-friendly environment that promotes interaction among visitors.

Cultural Engagement

The design positions the building as a cultural hub, facilitating a connection between the structure and its community. With an emphasis on open spaces, the design invites artistic activities and public interaction. The arrangement of areas within the building supports various cultural events, emphasizing its role as an engaging venue where art and people meet.

The façade captures a play of light and shadow, with the double-skin system allowing for a dynamic exchange that animates the exterior throughout the day. This detail enhances the character of the building and its connection to the surroundings.
